BULLEIT, BLADE & BOW AND I.W. HARPER AT THE STITZEL-WELLER DISTILLERY

We were the very first group to tour the newly renovated visitors center and barrel filling building.  The Stitzel-Weller distillery opened on Derby Day in 1935 and was run by Julian “Pappy” Van Winkle Sr.  Our experience began with a welcome cocktail and heavy appetizers.  Then we toured the legendary distillery and enjoyed a tasting of whiskeys from Bulleit, I.W. Harper and Blade & Bow.
