MICHTER’S BOURBON & COUNTRY HAM
Our final event for the summer of 2017 was on the waterfront, at the Levee at the River House, and we had something very special happening: A pairing of Michter’s whiskeys with country ham and chocolate!
Michter’s Master Distiller Pam Heilmann led us through a tasting of four of their expressions: Small Batch Bourbon, Single Barrel Rye, Unblended American Whiskey and 10 Year Bourbon.
Steve Coomes, author of Country Ham: A Southern Tradition of Hogs, Salt & Smoke, selected three mouth-watering gourmet country hams that were paired with the whiskeys. To top it all off, was a delectable chocolate from Art Eatables.
We also enjoyed abundant appetizers created by Chef John Varenese, and of course awesome door prizes as always.
